Finally the weather is starting to change and spring is just around the corner. What we often forget at this time of year is that our choice of food also changes. We start to eat more salads, and foods often associated with barbeques and picnics. This can be a bit of a shock to the system after eating home comfort food in the winter, that is often made up of high protein in the form of meat, and dishes such as stew and shepherds pie but to name a few. So to make this transition a bit easier on the digestive system this is a good time to kick start your digestive system with a detox. I recommend a product by Natures Sunshine called “Healthy starter pack” (follow links on my nutrition tab) as it is easy to follow and does not demand that you join a religious order and go into hibernation for a month. As with all detox programmes it is also advisable that you are in good health and if in doubt if this is the right thing for you to do, I recommend you talk to your medical doctor first.
